Stronger Together:  Canadian Fuels Association’s Response to COVID-19

The Canadian Fuels Association and its members are working tirelessly to continue the supply of transportation fuels and specialty lubricants across Canada and to maintain the health and safety of the workers that are keeping our national fuels network operating during this challenging time.

Our industry is taking extraordinary measures to keep our workers healthy and safe while fuels and specialty lubricants continue to be produced and distributed.  All CFA members have activated their business continuity plans in response to COVID-19.  Members have limited the on-site staffing at their refineries and fuel terminals to essential personnel who are being carefully monitored by their health and wellness teams. Non-essential personnel are working from home and enhanced screening measures are in place for delivery personnel who support our fuel supply chain.

We are part of Canada’s critical infrastructure and will continue to work in collaboration with federal and provincial governments to maintain the operation of refineries, terminals and the national fuel supply chain.
This is a very dynamic situation and we will continue to monitor and respond accordingly.  Our focus remains on providing secure and reliable access to transportation fuels and enabling essential services for Canadians.
