Celebrating Excellence and Insight at the 2025 CFA Awards of Excellence

The fourth annual Canadian Fuels Association (CFA) Awards of Excellence took place on June 4 at the Rideau Club in Ottawa, bringing together CFA members, industry leaders, and special guests to celebrate the people and partnerships driving progress across Canada’s transportation fuels sector.

The CFA Awards of Excellence program honours individuals and organizations that exemplify leadership, innovation, and collaboration—recognizing the lasting impact of their work on the industry, their communities, and Canada’s energy future.

This year’s celebration recognized six award recipients across a range of categories:

  • Collaboration and Partnership Award – Geoff Tauvette, Canadian Council for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (C-SAF)
  • Rising Star Award – Cassandra Loveless, North Atlantic
  • Committee Member of the Year Award – Craig Kezama, Federated Co-operatives Limited
  • Innovation Award – Imperial Sarnia Manufacturing Site
  • Lifetime Achievement Award – Colleen Stevenson, Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc.
  • Community Champion Award – Chief George Arcand Jr., Alexander First Nation
